Scott Hargis is a widely recognized archcitectural photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is known for beautifully lit, artistic compositions that focus on expressing the original intent of the designer, interpreting their work into a photograph that accurately conveys the feeling of being in the space itself. He prefers traditional field technique over digital manipulation, which results in images that feel authentic, alive, and which require minimal retouching.
Scott attracts clients from a wide array of disciplines including architecture, design, construction, and hospitality.
Scott is the author of the acclaimed book “The Essential Guide to Lighting Interiors” which is often referred to as the “bible” of small-flash interiors lighting technique. He has been teaching photography workshops since 2008, in places throughout North America and Canada, as well as Australia, Norway, Sweden, Spain, United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. He has also authored video tutorials on Lynda.com and at www.lightingforrealestatephotography.com.

UMKC BLOCH SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
3 Day Seminar
Limited to 24 people
Spend three full days working in the architecturally stunning UMKC Bloch School of Management in Kansas City, MO (Architect: BNIM) with world class instructors Mike Kelley, Wayne Capili, and Scott Hargis.
After an opening orientation and discussion, students will spend the first day observing the instructors as they scout, develop, and execute photos of this spectacular building. With a low student-to-instructor ratio you’ll have access to every facet of the process, your questions will be answered fully, and every aspect of each instructors method will be shared.
The second day is yours to shoot — backed up by Mike, Scott & Wayne you’ll have full access to the campus, including the exteriors, so you can explore and find portfolio-worthy compositions and capture them perfectly.
On day three, you’ll be in the classroom working on post production skills, and participating in discussions about business, marketing, and any photo-related topic you nominate. Wayne, Scott and Mike are there to answer your questions with their individual opinions and experience.
